C’est aujourd’hui l’occasion d’étrenner deux petits chefs-d’œuvre de coquetiers en bois d’artisanat local, et d’admirer les grandes tiges de forsythias au parfum citronné s’échapper du seau à charbon qui fait office de vase. Les forsythias ont appelé le soleil de mars en vain, il a fallu le traquer à l’intérieur sur de grands bouquets de ce jaune qui fait du bien. Aucune douceur à l’extérieur durant ces dernières semaines, le printemps a été gâché par un froid malin qui s’est amusé à anesthésier les parfums. Les chats qui avaient commencé à camper avec enthousiasme dans les hangars à bois du coin sont revenus dormir à longueur de journées, déprimés par cette nature gorgée d’eau. Si la fraîcheur matinale ne permet pas encore d’envisager le petit déjeuner la fenêtre ouverte, se lever tôt et sentir le café en écoutant les oiseaux devient plaisant.
Today is the perfect opportunity to showcase two little masterpieces of wooden egg cups made by local artisans and admire the tall stems of forsythias with their lemony scent escaping from the coal bucket that serves as a vase. The forsythias have called for the sun of March in vain; we had to track it down indoors with big bouquets of this soothing yellow. There has been no softness outside in recent weeks, as spring has been spoiled by a cunning cold that has playfully numbed the scents. The cats, who had started to enthusiastically camp in the local wood sheds, have returned to sleep all day indoors, depressed by this waterlogged nature. While the morning chill doesn’t yet allow for considering breakfast with the window open, waking up early and smelling the coffee while listening to the birds becomes enjoyable.
